Summary:

This new Web site is aimed at providing opportunities for networking among prison aftercare providers as well as training and resources to aid them in their ministries to ex-offenders.  Members of CAPA will receive directories with the contact information of other members, a quarterly newsletter providing information about new developments in the field, full access to CAPA discussion forums, discounts on resources purchased through the CAPA bookstore, CAPA conferences, and training and consulting services offered by CAPA.  In addition, information about grants and other funding opportunities is available on the site.

Why does FASTEN recommend this resource?

Faith-based practitioners have much experience and knowledge to share with each other.  CAPA provides an opportunity for practitioners who are serving in ex-offender aftercare ministries to develop helpful networks with others in their field.  Also, new practitioners and those seeking to improve their ministries can obtain training and consulting services.
