Charity for Techies: OLPC Launches "Give One Get One" Program

The One Laptop Per Child program is now asking for our help in their campaign to bridge the digital divide. For the first time starting November 12,  OLPC is offering their laptops for U.S. purchase.

For $399, you can send a XO laptop to the developing world and receive one in return. For those who have deeper pockets, it is also possible to donate anywhere from 100-10,000+ laptops.

Here's hoping that the OLPC foundation can get the kinks worked out of its distribution model, develop quality open-source educational content, and really make a difference in the developing world.
