Switching Gears

Hey everyone!  My blog has been scarce for a while because I have been quite ill, but God has brought me out of it and here I am again writing to you again.  This week I am writing my first prayer letter for my mission to France and I am actually having a hard time with it.  It's difficult to express my love for the lost and desire to reach the French people in a short few paragraphs and the need for a movement of God there.  Could everyone pray for me to find the words?  I really need to get the ball rolling on this so that I can be prepared to leave next summer.

Update

Thanks for praying those of you that got this.  Alexander did have a seizure, but it was one that is common in children after five.  It is caused by a sudden temperature spike that does not show up as a fever until after the seizure.  He could still use prayer because he has a 33% chance of having another one, so they are watching him for the next 24 hours, but he has been sent home with just a slight fever now.

Thank you so much,
Christiana

PLEASE PRAY EVERYONE!

My friend Stephanie's 1 year old nephew was just rushed to the hospital in an ambulance having what they think is a seizure and they are not sure if he is breathing.  Could everyone please pray?  I will post updates when I can.

Thanks,

Christiana

Being a Missionary to One of The Most Secular Countries in the World

I wanted to share with everyone what is happening in my life.  On July 20th I became an official missionary with Avant Ministries to the country of France.  Of all the places in the world for God to send me, this is the one place I did not want to go.  However, in His divine wisdom He has changed my heart to one that longs to see the people of France sparked with the fire of God.  This is not going to be an easy task for our team of nine, which is charged with starting a mature, reproducing church in Paris in the time span of five years, but we know God is with us and has paved the way.
