Black is Good
Black folks live with their hearts. Wide open. Big. On their sleeves. Bleeding. For everything black. Everything. Black. Is Good.
If you've been anywhere on the planet this past week, you'd agree with the following generalizations. I don't usually make such broad brushing statements but hey my name is Linda and I can do that. Generally speaking, black folks have lost their minds with composing songs, videos, and poems. Man, everybody is a poet laureate. Folks that don't even know nothing about meter and rhyme (and have no disdain for double negatives) are posting poems on their blogs. It's unreal. (and kinda cute).
The new First Family is perfect. The very source of hope and renewal. Salvation. Hope. Hope. Hope. Hope is black. Black is Good.
One conversation I overheard about Michelle made me laugh. And you know we can call her by her first name now 'cause she's OUR First Lady. Apparently when Michelle went to the polls in November (to vote for her husband, of course) she did so au natural. No makeup. No upswept do. In fact, some said her hair was a little nappy. According to the woman who told me this, it was endearing and refreshing to see Michelle this way. Wow, if I knew a few naps would make me more approachable I would have shown my kitchen years ago.
The new world is black. Is brown. Is white. Is yellow. Is Good.

I think we must clarify- the first family is not perfect in themselves, but they are a perfect fit to be at the head of our country right now. God is going to do great things through them and I cannot wait to see what they are.
Black is Good
Black is good. Black was always good in my book. Now the bandwagon has grown bigger with welcome latecomers. The more the merrier. Black is good, white is good, brown, beige, yellow, red and all colors are good. Ain't nothing wrong with that. God made us all and we know God is good, all the time.
