I walked uphill on Auburn Avenue in August 2008 draped in sweat and a smile, in the direction of the Martin Luther King National Historic Site. I believe it is a path that every American, every race should walk.

She swallows the sensational anticipation in the crisp January air, the beat of her spirit thumping pushes her forward onto the Metro. Her anxiety slices into her thoughts, but the knife is quickly removed as she joins in the melodies and chants of the crowds. She prays for the seal of protection from God to heal her from enemies and bring her inbound safely to the victory line.
